I’m not sure if anyone else notices this, but bell hooks loves to give examples when she’s talking about ideas. This usually happens through anecdotes, which is why I really love her writing. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but whenever I read her works, she always mentions going to dinner parties. I’m not really saying anything about that, other than that’s something random I noticed.

Ha!  Never thought about it like that, but I do love how anecdotal and practical all her work is.  She’s awesome!
